Low-Band Antenna
Our client had a requirement for a dipole antenna, suitable for incorporation in a 4-antenna array used for direction finding. PPI designed and manufactured the antennas, based on customer-supplied geometric criteria. The antennas incorporate multiple individual copper elements positioned within a nonconductive support structure, which utilized SLS technology for high precision and rapid deployment.
Challenges included extremely short timetable, ruggedness, and RF performance considerations.
